General IVF and ICSI program
The Nordica Fertility school comprises seminars of 4 days in which the participants will be involved in formal teaching lessons and practical hands on in both the laboratories and in the clinical setting.
The schedule for the IVF/ICSI training is as follows:
Day 1 (Monday)
09.00 – 10.00 Evaluation of the participants and there present knowledge
10.00 – 12.00 A through presentation of the follicular genesis, meiosis and the impact ART is doing on this in relation to the clinical treatments and the laboratory setting.
12.00 - 12.30 Lunch
12.30 - 15.30 Practical cases and hands on in the lab and in the clinic.
In the clinic Svend Lindenberg takes care of the clinicians. Program for this is: how to handle low responder, sever male factor including evaluation of the male partner, PCO, IVM, cancer and fertility.
In the lab Mette Munk is giving advises in lab work including ICSI practical handling. This also includes quality management of the lab, new culture methods for IVF and IVM, hypo oxygen therapy of gametes, spindle apparatus and assisted hatching.
Day 2 (Thursday)
09.00 – 10.00 Questions and explanations to what happened yesterday.
10.00 – 12.00 Specific stimulation protocols, long, short, crash, IVM, how to handle low responders, age, OHSS, coasting etc.
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30 – 15.30 Practical with Lindenberg and Mette Munk
Svend Lindenberg will go through patient handling, logistic, how to handle distance stimulation. How to assess the patient's chance for pregnancy in individual cases and counseling.
Day 3 (Wednesday)
09.00 - 10.00 Questions and explanations to what happened yesterday.
10.00 – 12.00 Seminars on ultrasound and diagnostics.
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30 – 15.00 Practical in the lab and in the clinics
Day 4 (Thursday)
09.00 - 10.00 Questions and explanations to what happened yesterday.
10.00 – 12.00 Quality control - ISO certification in the lab. EU tissue directive, impact of the global marked on ART treatment in the world.
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30 – 15.00 ART marketing, CMS systems, rational clinic handling, evaluation.
