Examination of infertility
Infertility is a condition of the reproductive system that affects males and females equally.
Infertility has many causes. Improved treatments like medication, insemination and in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques make pregnancy possible for 60-80% of all infertile couples.
The main causes of female infertility are tubal blockage and/or peritoneal factors, irregular or abnormal ovulation or endometriosis. The main male causes are poor sperm quality or quantity. For some couples no specific cause of infertility can be identified.
At Nordica Fertility Centre we examine both you and your partner to identify the causes of your infertility. This includes anatomic investigation of the man and woman, sperm analysis, blood analysis and ultrasound of the woman. Further, we will discus your life style to see what effects it may have on your infertility.
