IVM course
This particular program is aimed at trained clinicians and embryologists whowants to learn abbout IVM - In Vitro Maturation of human oocytes wit the object of establishing IVM as a clinical treatment in their unit.
Program
Day 1 (Monday)
09.00 – 10.00 General background for IVM , the scope, past and present.
10.00 – 12.00 Inclusion criteria and stimulation protecols for IVM, including live demonstration of IVM eggs. Collection in the clinic and in the laboratory.
12.00 - 12.30 Lunch
12.30-15.30 IVM procedures: the theory behind oocyte maturation, meiosis, spindle, medium compositionto support resumption and support the meiosis. Why ICSI during IVM maturation.
Day 2 (Thursday)
09.00 – 10.00 What has happened in the the lab since yesterday. Preparation for the ICSI/IVF, evaluation of the fertilization and spindle apparatus.
10.00 – 12.00 The normal development of the gametes and the embryos. Possible new aspects of of evaluation i.e. score, time laps, polarbody evaluation and metabolic markers.
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30 – 15.30 Practical's in ovarian biopsy freezing, vitrification and handling of >tesa tissue.
Day 3 (Wednesday)
09.00 - 10.00 What had happened in the lab, practical in the clinic and lab about IVM.
10.00 – 12.00 IVM studies
1. Time interval for maturation
2. FSH priming
3. Timing of OPU
4. Predictors in IVM
5. IVM children born
6. Results in the world.
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30 – 14.00 Final discussion between two clinics concerning results and the usefulness of IVM in clinical practice.
14.00 - 15.00 IVM network, publications, IVM Database, IVM support team, evaluation.
